Discover the architectural and natural heritage
In the commune of Bois-Plage-en-Ré, you can discover the island's architectural and natural wonders. From the campsite, follow the cycle tracks which will take you to the only mill on the island of Ré to have kept its wings, the Bellère mill. Stroll along the alleys lined with hollyhocks to visit the church of Tous les Saints, located in the heart of the village, and admire its stained glass windows with marine motifs. Stroll through the wooded forests of umbrella pines and oaks that line the beaches, then extend your walk along the estacade or the Peu des Aumonts.
With its 6 km of beach, the commune of Bois-Plage-en-Ré offers you the opportunity to inspect its blockhouses of the Herta battery, vestiges of the Second World War. The village has other places of remembrance such as the Commonwealth graves and the Malakoff tower house.
In a completely different style, you can also visit the cellars and distillery, and taste, for example, a local cognac from the island in the cooperative cellar of Bois-Plage.

If you enjoy water sports, visit one of the many clubs scattered along the beaches of this small corner of Charente-Maritime. They will offer you sailing, surfing, windsurfing, paddling or kayaking. In addition to renting all the necessary equipment, you can also take courses. Not forgetting the foreshore which runs along the 6 km of beach, where you can enjoy long fishing trips. The commune of Bois-Plage-en-Ré also has tennis courts and horse riding centres. You won't be bored on the island of Ré.
And when it comes to activities, our Sunelia Interlude campsite, located in the heart of Bois-Plage-en-Ré, has plenty to offer! When you leave your mobile home, head for our multi-sports, beach volleyball or petanque courts. Do you want to do something else? No problem, we also offer table tennis, bike rental, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a water park for children, a spa for parents... Enough to keep the whole family busy! The icing on the cake: our campsite is 50m from the Gros Jonc beach. The ideal beach to practice many water sports!
Entertainment throughout the summer
A few minutes from our 5-star campsite, the village of Bois-Plage-en-Ré organises a multitude of entertainment throughout the summer. Cabaret or artists of all kinds, on Thursdays or Saturdays enjoy concerts or shows on the Place de la Liberté and around the village church.
The centre of Bois-Plage-en-Ré is not lacking in shops either. Every morning, from April to the beginning of November, on the Avenue de la Plage, you will find the most important market on the Ile de Ré. Local products, local crafts, clothes, organic products: stroll through the many shops in the village, taste, admire, treat yourself and find the nuggets to bring back as a souvenir of your stay on the island of Ré...
