My week camping on the Ile de Ré at Bois Plage
I wanted to relax and get away from it all without going too far, so I naturally thought of a holiday on the Ile de Ré. Among the various campsites, I chose to rent a mobile home at the 5-star Sunêlia Interlude campsite, located in Bois Plage. With its many activities, it seemed ideal to satisfy all the members of my family. And we were not disappointed! Here is a quick overview of our week...
Sharing good times as a family

My children, my husband and I had already studied the schedule of activities before we arrived. For example, the day after our arrival, we took part in a sand creation competition organised by the campsite staff. Later in the week, we also joined other holidaymakers for the Olympics, where adults and children showed off their sporting skills. After we had had our fill, the four of us gathered around the heated pool for a well-deserved moment of relaxation!
And speaking of shared moments, let's not forget the evenings organised within the campsite: concert, musical bingo, games aperitif, etc.
The Ile de Ré: between discovering the heritage and sporting activities
Being sporty, we were able to practice a multitude of water sports near Bois Plage. My children were also able to discover horse-riding while my husband and I played golf for the first time. We rented bikes from the campsite to ride around the island on the cycle paths and discover the salt marshes.
But that's not all! We had no idea that the island of Ré was full of so many small architectural and natural wonders. During our walks, we were able to discover the Baleines lighthouse, the Vauban fortifications, the Maison du Fier or the Lilleau des Niges nature reserve...
Children, parents: everything is done to take time for yourself!

The Sunêlia Interlude campsite has four places for our children. My 7 year old daughter had a great time at the Mini Sunny club where she prepared a show that she performed for us at the end of our stay. Next year, as we intend to come back, she has already asked us to take part in the various sports, cultural and discovery activities of the Sunny Club for 8/12 year olds.
The Teenagers' Club responds to the teenagers' need for freedom as they decide on the week's programme. After a first moment of relaxation where my son got to know the other teenagers, he had a lot of fun during the whole week thanks to the escapes games, virtual games and other sports tournaments organised.
During some of our sports escapades, we also left our one year old baby with qualified professionals in the certified Baby Sunny crèche.
Relaxation and disconnection for adults
At this Bois Plage campsite, I enjoyed a Californian massage in their spa area followed by a moment of total disconnection in the hammam and sauna. Tasting Poitou-Charentes wines or Marennes Oléron oysters in an oyster hut, my husband and I also took advantage of this holiday to get together and share moments together. One evening, taking advantage of the wake organised for the children, we even dined together in a gourmet restaurant!
These holidays on the island of Ré did us a world of good! The green and pleasant setting of the Sunêlia Interlude campsite allowed us to escape and recharge our batteries. Thanks to the reception team and the activity leaders, our stay in a mobile home was a nice break from our hectic daily lives.
